master cylinder sizing question for sbc fc.
« on: November 08, 2013, 01:47:56 PM »
So im going to be running a 350 with a t5 behind it, I want to get my clutch line made but need a master cylinder first.
This is the slave im running.

My question is with a 7/8 slave is a 7/8 master going to be too much. I want my clutch to work without having to worry about weather or not iv pushed the pedal too far. I dont mind a super stiff pedal feel I can deal with that but if this is going to push too much pressure then a suggestion on sizing would be great.

I'm running that same slave(I think Granny's uses Speedway's stuff) and I'm running a Hinson 7/8 master. I ran a stock Mazda unit when I had a stock clutch. When I switched to a Centerforce dual friction clutch, I changed over. You should be fine with either one. Provided the stock master is in good shape.

I used that exact slave with a 1:1 clutch fork and a 3/4 master.
