quick fuel questions (nitrous)
« on: December 30, 2012, 09:24:39 AM »
Hey so I am going to run a small fuel cell for just my nitrous mxt summer and I am curious as if a .250" line off the tank to a -8an line would be able to supply enough fuel with a Holley hp fuel pump with a shot no bigger than 250.  The reason I ask that is cause I would like to run the 1qt instead of the 1 gal tank as it is obviously a smaller tank and will be easier to use.

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand going to a 8an from a .25   It may work but the pump will most likely run dry. Unless your speaking of 1/4 pipe then that would probably work but no sense in using a 8an line if your restriction is smaller. I would be worried about having enough fuel. I would pressure up the solonoid and whatever size jet you need for 250 shot and spray it for 10 seconds to see how much fuel you will need to be sure a qt will be enough.  Also it might help to know if this is carbed or fuel injected. I would assume carbed due to using a hp Holley pump.

what size line does the pump recommend?
