Also, I saw this referring to LS2 GTO exhaust:
1 7/8" primaries are designed for cars with aftermarket camshaft and heads, that will be shifting up in the higher rpm ranges. For stroker engines, these headers are the only way to go.
Considering you have more displacement, a hawt cam, ported heads, and revving it out more for RR, this seems like a good choice.
Moreover, the 1 7/8" headers available from JTR are longtube, which should make even more power. For those of you wondering, they also offer them with ceramic coating now for us who plan to DD
Thanks for the post. I've actually found a few places that sell lexan windows specifically for the rx7. How did you come up with the approximate weight savings of 100lbs? I wont be needing the side windows because I dont run any. I figured I would save 10lbs for the front windshield and 10-15 for the rear hatch window. Have you weighed them compared to stock? I'd be very interested.
On the exhaust, i'm not really running an exhaust. I currently have the hinson headers with the Y-pipe and thats it. What I'm considering is doing the JTR headers like you said for more power... then keeping the exhaust separate and running them to each side of the car. I really like how small blocks sound with the exhaust kept separate I would also Def jet hot coat them. I'm beginning to cook inside the car after 10 min.
Thanks for all the info... let me know if you have any numbers on the lexan savings.
