Looks great! Hope to see the car around at some local events. Been a few years since I've seen it anywhere.

If you need a chassis adapter harness to make the car communicate with the ecu, I have a Rywire Race (universal) Chassis Adapter. They sell for $425 plus shipping, I have one that's new. I'll ship it for $250.

If you talk with 2nrs of Springfield they can ship you the flywheel you need. I think they are right at $600. If you search around on k20a.org you can sometimes snag a new one for around $450 shipped if you find someone that decided to go a different route. A lot of s2000 guys are swapping to the k24 setup and keeping the stock trans.

If you were to do a k swap I'd suggest just sticking with the Miata trans. It's already in the Miata and they made a million more miatas than they did s2000's so it will be much easier to locate a trans if you do break one. And both the s2000 and Miata trans are very similar in feel and power holding capabilities. check out k-Miata.com if you haven't already.

The miata/s2000 trans seem to go for the same price and the S2000 transmissions seem stronger (many cars pushing 400-500 whp with them) not so much with the miata trans.

So for that reason I'm not really considering the miata 6sp.

If I buy a miata as a swap donor I'm sure it will be a cheap NA with a 1.6 with the wrong transmission so I'd have to buy the miata 6sp anyway.

The weight of the K24 and the S2000 transmission combined is still less than an LS1 without accessories, about 400lbs even (give/take 15lbs)

If you do go with the s2000 trans I recommend 2nrsOfSpringfield for the trans adapter (Facebook is best way to get ahold of them)

I've personally used Ballade Sports adapter and 2nrs adapter, the ballade one was pretty crappy compared to 2nrs. And it was within $40 of each other I believe.

I currently daily drive a 99 Miata and the power feels great for what it is. But if you want straight line speed the power would need to be doubled or the weight cut in half. If you want my personal opinion I suggest buying a Miata to drive around for a little bit before diving into different motor options. I picked up my 99 for $2500 and have been driving it for 6K miles with no issues.  Have you looked into the Exomotive Exocet? https://www.flyinmiata.com/exocet/index.php   For $7499 plus shipping and the cost of a donor vehicle you can be up and running...Weighs around 1400 pounds when completed.

If your not happy with the stock Miata motor you could supercharge it to make around 250whp or throw a K24 in it (around 6k for a stock motor, Kpro, and the subframe kit)

Where are you located? I might be buying an FC here soon, not sure of the condition of the motor or trans though.
