Parts for Sale / Re: T56 setup for sale

I got the Trans rebuilt in December of 2013 through Tick.  Its a stage 2.  I lost the paper work on it, but i still have the plastic tub it was shipped in.

I barely put any miles on the trans.  I would say less than 200 miles before I sold the car to Cody.

Im pretty sure the bearing in the Porsche's were a problem until 08.

The SLK would be nice.  If you could find and 03-04 AMG SLK32 that would be badass.  Supercharged V6. They are pretty rare though.Different body style than the 350.

Updated, Bump.

Honest seller and a great guy to work with.

I purchased his rx-7 and so far it has been a blast to drive.  My only complaint is I don't have time to drive the car.

Thanks.  I hope you are enjoying it.

Wow, a 7/10 on here is like an 11/10 on craigslist. :D  The car is gorgeous, but I agree the muffler is kinda weird lookin'.

Ya im pretty picky on cars.  I dont like the muffler at all.  Long story on that.  I went through 2 of those Flapper mufflers.  They rattled so bad and Dynomax admitted they had a problem.  They gave me this muffler so I just had it thrown on.  If I still have the car this winter it will be something for me to change.

Just the tip... (FEELER)  haha

Yup, Just the tip.

Stefan,

I don't have a youtube account. But heres a photo bucket video. I hate the muffler.

This car has a nice wire tuck also.

An awesome tuck and wire job.  Only thing on the car i didn't have to fix.

Got an alignment today.  The toe was way out of wack. Car drives straight, no more wandering.  Its still a little over boosted but no where the feel as before the alignment.

No stretched tires.  I cant stand the look.

I have 17 x 9.5 on all 4 with 275 40 17 on them.  Tram lines suck, but i know the difference between trams lines and steering problems.

I took the car out last night and literally above 50mph there are problems.  Lower speeds are fine.  WOT can be a handful but doable.

The car feels very disconected and floaty above 50.  If the alignment doesnt work ill try looping the rack.

So you replaced the rack with a new one? Refurbished or had yours rebuilt?
Any chance you bought a used bad one?

I guess the only way to test if the pump
is overpowering the rack is to loop it and see if it goes away.

I can live without power steering if it means getting rid of this high speed/high rpm feeling of the car rear steering.
My alignment and corner balance makes the car feel more balanced and is cornering better but it didn't do anything for the swaying at high speed.
Feels like I have to make a lot of little steering adjustments going straight and its even worse at WOT.

I got a used low mileage rack.  Said to only have 30k.  The rack was a lot better than my original.  The tie rod ends didnt flop down and seemed to be tighter overall. Maybe the used one i got is bad, but for some reason i doubt it.

Ive looped the P/S before.  I got a smaller belt and left the ps off.(I know its not the proper way) It still was twichy at high speeds with the ps pump not being turned.

Ill be getting an alignment on saturday and hopefully it fixes the problem.  I may just remove the ps all together soon.

What about a steering stabilizer?
