None of the lights run through the ecu. All the lights are in the harness on the driver side of the engine bay. My car has all of the ecu wiring removed along with the ecu itself and all the lights work. All you should have to do to get the lights working is put power into the fusebox on the driver side strut tower.

The shifter for an s10 tranny looks like its a solid 12" further fowards than the lt1 t56 it is pictured next to. I have the lt1 t56 in my car and it required moving the shifter back an 1" to center it in the hole. How are you planning on moving the shifter back 13"?

Probably not. You could maybe make it work if you removed the dash and cut a shifter hole where your stereo used to be. Plus the gear spread is terrible for a car. and then it would shift like...well.... the truck it came out of.

It's not built in but it's super easy to wire up. I think there are only 4 wires iirc.

Battery good? What size cable running to the starter? Getting full voltage to starter solenoid? Motor should crank at least regardless of the engine harness.

But if he"s building it for mileage i highly doubt the skinny pedal will get used a whole lot. And i would think smaller rear end = less rotating mass and less parasitic loss? (maybe a negligible amount, but still) Definitely going to have to watch this one. I would love a car that got 40-50 mpg and still had enough power to get around the slow people on the daily commute.

Haha crazy how things change. I now inspect semi truck retreads and am going into my third year of college, going for a bachelors in mechanical engineering.
