Electronics / FD RX7 EGI Main Relay Wire To LS ECU??
« on: April 10, 2018, 11:48:26 PM »
LS1/6 FD Guys, Can somebody shed some light on where the B1-01 black/ white from EGI Main relay should be tapped to on LS ECU connector? Im reading here that it should be T'd into to Blue side connector pin 19, which is ign1 voltage? This doesnt seem correct....

I apologize for the lack of update.
I ended up removing the motor for a complete rebuild.
Take a look below.

Electronics / Re: Oil pressure and oil temp for ECU??
« on: February 08, 2018, 11:07:45 PM »
No Oil Pressure/Oil Temp sensors required for the ECU on a 3rd Gen LS.   Run your Speedhut stuff and call it good.

THank you sir!!!

Electronics / Oil pressure and oil temp for ECU??
« on: February 08, 2018, 08:55:07 PM »
So im almost done wiring up my LS6 harness with F Body ECU
I have hooked up coolant temp sensor but i dont even see a pinout for engine oil temp and pressure.

1. is this necessary for ECU? If so, which pins do these need to go into??
2. I will be running Speed hut gauges in the dash with its own sensors and wiring. i do not need OEM sensor reading if not required by ECU

Electronics / Re: T56 Speed sensor pin outs?

Pin A on the connector is light green/black and goes to ECU pin 20. Pin B is purple/white and goes to ecu pin 21.

awesome! thank you

I take it that's a 1 wire sensor?   If so, that should work in theory.   Stock sensor is two wire, obviously.

its a two wire. im assuming one goes to VSS high and other to VSS low but im just confused as to why the purple wire is cut on the ECU side......

Electronics / T56 Speed sensor pin outs?
« on: February 06, 2018, 08:11:20 PM »
T56 speed sensor question. I'm using stock ecu and pin out on red side calls out for pin 20 VSS low and 21 VSS High. How should i wire up the t case ss? So I hook up the green pin 20 wire and ground the other? Pin 21 cable came cut off.

Electronics / Re: Alternator signal wire? LS6
« on: July 11, 2016, 07:31:40 AM »
You need to use the fbody signal to kick it on...  What I suggest is taking it to an alternator shop and ask them to put on a self exciting regulator.  Basically, once the regulator notices that the alt spinning it starts charging.  its like 30-50 bucks to install one.

This. If you use the GM PCM, you need to put a resistor in. I and many other people have had this resistor fail trashing the alternator. Search the self excite mod on here and it is pretty easy to do yourself.

if i decide not to do the mod by the way, i would just need to get signal out from F body ECU Red connector pin 15 correct? would i need the resistor in this case like if i was to get signal from mazda harness?

Oh wow. I didn't know this was an issue. I was planning on running a signal cable into it witj resistor. So you are saying with this mod I can completely get rid of signal wire and simply have power in and power out cable??
