Parts for Sale / Re: Ronin speedworks FC 8.8 Swap Kit
« on: August 13, 2020, 04:25:09 PM »Screaming deal for someone. Add the bushings and saved cost of shipping and this is about $1450 in new stuff. 0.02 but you could easily ask more for this if you want to.
It's all good, this forum gave me a ton of info over the years, so here is a deal for someone . Sold my FC a few months ago and never got around to putting this in. Need to fund a jeep project now.

What's everyone doing to source T2 stub shafts? I'm having a pretty hard time locating a set.

Drivetrain / 8.8 swap into 5.0 fc, 929 axles?
« on: January 28, 2019, 10:44:39 AM »
Hey guys just about to start buying parts for my ford 5.0 / t5 swapped fc and had a few questions.
The car is currently a 4 lug car any issues with this swap? I was under the impression the axles fit the same between 4 and 5 lug but just wanted to make sure.
Also since t2 axles and hard to find / expensive which 929 axles do i need to get, I have heard mixed answers to the ones that actually work.
Thanks!

Hmm very interesting, I might have to go this route instead of trying the e36 sway bar that I am not sure about.
Let me know what they get back to you with.

Drivetrain / Ford T5 slave cylinder woes
« on: November 09, 2015, 09:25:21 PM »
Hello everyone, I'm on my third pull style slave ( two wilwoods and a ebay knockoff ) for my ford T5 . I've got the mounting of these down pretty good where it will pull as straight as I can make it. The problem I'm getting is their longevity, they always seem to blow out after 4 to 5 months of weekend drives, which usually happens at the worst time leaving me driving with no clutch. I know the design is pretty weak but i thought they would last longer?
I am running the Wilwood 1" master with remote reservoir, which has worked great since day 1. This is what Grannies recommended when I built the car, possibly too big?
Anyone have any experience with a hydraulic throw out like McLeod (expensive) or the RAM(slightly cheaper) or another system?
This is one of my winter projects to get the clutch system more reliable so might as well start now.
btw FC with a 5.0(1993) and t5(1990)

Build Threads / Re: 351 into a 87 Rx7 luxury Build thread

I don't have any issues with heat. I put too big of an aluminum radiator in it so it takes awhile to even get warm. Also I have a big hole in the hood to clear the air cleaner so that helps to.
I'll see if I can get some pics later today.

Nice build man, I got 87 base with a 5.0 and a t5 with a carb. Let me know if you got any questions, I've had it running for about a year and a half now

General Tech / Re: ford 302 swap information (distributor)
« on: July 18, 2015, 01:10:28 PM »
Right on, I used the ARP rod going up to my distributor which is out of an 86 mustang, motor is a 93. It turned out to be barely longer than the stock one but it engages the oil pump fine.

Just curious what you used for an ignition setup? I've been running the same swap for about a year now.

General Tech / Re: Re: FC w/ Ford 5.0 cant get my car started, running out of ideas
« on: June 21, 2012, 03:39:17 PM »looking through your past posts, you had to pull a head, right? Did you get all of that shit put back right?
Ha nice research, yeah I did have to pull the heads. Installed new trick flow gaskets, arp bolts, and new pushrods.
Motor turns freely has good compression and all the valves appear to be operating correctly, turned in over several times with the valve covers off
