Needed? Depends on what you're doing with the car.  Most people reuse it since it makes accessing those circuits about 12" closer to you when doing the work.

All LS alternators, except for the 98 F body, do not communicate with the dash.  Your gauges have no effect on your alternator's charging ability.

Then make your own mounting bracket. Tons of people on here have been doing that long before Samberg came around. Can even be done with no welding, if you like.

The harness doesn't control the ignition or the starter. There are ignition and starter wires in the harness, but nothing control related. If it runs, but doesn't have starter signal, its your key cylinder, starter cut alarm relay, or clutch safety switch.

The relays in the box are for fans and ac.

The fuse box does not have ignition or starter relays in it. A stock fd/fd does not have a starter relay either. Which harness do you have?

Also with your harness, do I have to run a wire from the alternator to the starter?

Yes. We're dealing with the battery system now, not the wiring system.

I can hook the wire up to the same power block where I ran the wire for my relocated battery correct?

Sorry, I don't know what power block you're referring to. Just run it straight from the starter to the battery.

Napa usually has it. Any car audio place should have it. You need at least 10', if your battery is in your pass bin.

Thick black red is starter solenoid wire, not key on power wire. You need to test that wire with the key in the start position. If you have no voltage then work your way back to alarm relay, clutch safety, then to the key cylinder.

Summit has them. Howe, Moroso, etc. They're not expensive. Like under $100.
