Sounds like a possible good buy...
How is the interior?
Do you have any problem with cooling or keeping it cool?
What wastegate, and bov?
lbs of boost and dyno numbers?
-
I think it's a great price. Let's hope someone else does too and buys it. I would like to move it quick to make room for the next project. I have 20k in it.
It's never had a cooling problem. It has a 160 thermostat, but stays right around 176*.
Tial MV44 wg and Tial 50mm bov.
14lbs. and 18* timing. I haven't had it on the dyno, just tuned on the street. But if you search you can find several combos exactly the same as this to give you an idea. It's probably close to 600/600.

What headlights are those?
Car looks great! GLWS!
-
Thank you.
I can't remember who makes the headlights. I bought them about 5 years ago. The quality on them are not the greatest, but the look pretty good with the carbon fiber hood and all the other factory black trim.
-
Looks great man more pics? I see nothing of the interioir or just fully completed pics all around the car including engine bay body etc.
-
The headlights look like rotary extreme lights, but I could be wrong. Seems like a great car for the price. GLWS.

Interested in any trades+cash?

Interested in any trades+cash?
I doubt it. What do you have in mind?

I took a video showing some more details of the car with interior and will post it when it finally uploads. It's going very slow.

CTS with Velocity. ;)

Video added to original post showing some more details of the car.

Tried to view the video link and it comes up that the video is set to private.
Also while I'm here I have a couple questions.
In the OP you said its a LS1 short block, but in the build thread it states the block is from a 02 C5 if I'm not mistaken which would be an LS6. No big deal since the blocks are nearly identical aside from some oiling ports.
What kind of rotating assembly did you put in? Pistons, rods, crank, etc.?
Is the car just set up to run E85 or is there a dual map switch from pump gas to E85?
How many miles are on the clutch? Track/street launches?
Not really a question but I did find a youtube video of your car on a dyno, but no #'s where given, the title of the video was bdubs turbo ls1 rx7 I believe.
I am somewhat local, (Chicago) and seeing the vehicle is listed as a '93 no emission testing is required correct?
Lastly, any A/C, heater, power steering?
-
video fixed. Sorry about that.

Z06's came with the LS6 block. Regular C5's came with LS1's

It's stock

No fancy map changing unless you have hptuners. I can load a 93 or e85 tune in it.

about 5k miles and maybe 5 passes at the track

That was a local dyno day last spring. I had just got the car running and it was not tuned yet. I put it on the dyno just to participate. 7.5psi, 6* of timing, and below 10afr it made 390whp. Now it has 14psi, 18*, and 11.3 AFR. It's the running joke locally that you just got beat by a 390whp car. lol

You would have to check your local regulations on emissions
Lastly, any A/C, heater, power steering?
No A/C, the heater works good, it has a KRC power steering pump

I had texted you yesterday but recieved no reply, I am local in Chicago as well.
From the build thread I cannot tell, but is the engine forged to handle the turbo and extra heat?
Any other suspension mods other than coilovers? Stock bushings still? Clean title?
Great walkaround video BTW.
Interested and sub'd

I've replied to everyone. I'f you have not received a reply, please call or text. That's the best way to contact me. Thanks.

Is the car a clean title? Or Salvage?
-
I doubt this car will last long. Great price for only needing a little body work.

I have a clean title in hand.
-
I think it's a great price for this car. I've had a lot of people make offers with trades, or say they can get money in a few weeks, or have to sell a car first, or what ever. But no one has shown up with money yet.
I might have to part it out. I hate to do that because everything works so good the way it sits, but I have some good offers as a roller and I have the engine and trans sold local.
I hope to sell it next week. I want to buy some parts for my next project.

Hopefully you stayed safe with the tornado that just came through your area.

Thank you. I did have some minor damage to my house, but we are able to stay in our home. Some of my neighbors are not so lucky.

So, after several days of a so called buyer telling me is buying the car, I started telling people that it's sold. The buyer was telling me he would wire the money this morning, then told me he would wire the tomorrow morning. He sent me a bill of sale he typed up and as I'm correcting it, he sends me a text saying he found a deal in Massachusetts and not buying my car.
That's what I get for trusting some one and not getting a deposit.
So the car is back up for sale. I will try to contact everyone that I told the car was sold, but please reach out to me incase I don't have your number.
I will no longer hold the car for anyone. No deposits. First person that hands me money gets the car and title.
Please call or text 309-453-0998. I do not check this forum daily.

looks like A LOT of fun for 15k. Wish it were closer!
-
Sold. Thanks.
I was surprised about all the inquires on this car. Maybe I priced it a little to cheap. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.
-
Why do you have to be in Midwest :'(
-
That is an awesome deal if there are no running issues. Buyer should feel damn lucky.
-
Congrats. I'm pissed I never got a chance to ride in it with the turbo setup. It was a monster with the heads/cam.

I wish you would have. There was no comparing the H/C/I to the turbo set up. The turbo was soooo much faster. Way more torque from the turbo motor.

Bump-where is this car? guy want to sell it? :)
