So, I've had some interest in my gauge setups in the past, and with these new Speedhut gauges I feel like I've finally nailed the perfect combo of appearance, function, etc. I had some decent interest in my old gauge cluster I built, and this one is even nicer, so I figured I'd see if there is any interest in me producing some of these (very limited amounts).
Here is my cluster, pre texture/paint:
(https://www.norotors.com/gallery/albums/Interior_Gauges/Dir_1/medium_5454.JPG) (https://www.norotors.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=5454)
What I'd be offering is 2 options:
1. You send me your stock hood, I'll bond a plate to it, body work it and texture finish/paint it to match the stock interior nicely and ship it back.
2. Same as above, except I will install whatever gauges you want and wire them up with Metripack (or Deutsch, or whatever you want) connectors and provide pigtails and diagrams to hook it up to the RX7 wiring.
Labor would probably be ~75 dollars a shot for option 1 and 110 each for option 2. Straight passing of the cost on any connectors, etc. if I'm ordering them for you.
I'll post some pictures of my cluster when I'm finished. The Speedhut gauges are VERY nice, particularly because they are so shallow, so they don't get in the way of stuff behind the dash like others can.

Nice setup Blake! Just a side question. What triple guage pod is that and are they still available?
-
Ian99RT made them. Not sure if he still does.

Nice setup. You should make it for the FD. Ill be putting the Speedhut gauges in soon. Just need to find time to do. (Some of us dont have the luxury of having the wife and kid leave for a couple days! :D )
-
That's cheap money for doing that.
-
LOL, the wife and kid haven't left, I just do this at night after they've gone to bed. Little work each night. I'd do FD stuff, but it's quite a bit more complex, so I'd have to charge more for that.

Beautiful work, Blake! I'm very interested and would really like to see a final product with a night shot.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks. I will snap some pictures of the assembled/painted/wired piece shortly. Let me see about wiring it up for a night shot, the car is torn down so I can't just drop it in the cluster. :)

That looks really nice and your price is good. Any idea of what the overall cost would be with the connectors and gauges? I'd imagine it would be around $500-$600.

A setup with 3 3/8 Speedo (non GPS style), 3 3/8 Tachometer, Fuel Level, Water Temp and Oil Pressure, in the cheaper Speedhut series is 460 + S&H for the gauges, + ~30 dollars for connectors. So yes, around 600 bucks for a setup like that, with labor.

That looks really good blake! i am also interested in seeing how you made it and the final piece. I did the integra speedo swap but have my oil pressure and water temp where the radio used. I am adding oil temp and trans temp so it would be really nice to redo my cluster to something like this.

Very nice Blake! I've been trying to figure out how to fit my 4 1/2 inch tach and speedo + my four 2 5/8 inch gauges into the stock FC gauge area. I've toyed with the idea of making the tach and speedo raised so that I can fit the remaining gauges "underneath" them if that makes sense.
-
Yeah, I'd think that would be the only way to make that happen in the space available. That's a lot of big gauges, haha.

Nice work Blake :)

That's funny, I planned to send you a pm about it once I'm ready to do the gauges. I won't be ready for a while, but I'll be coming to you for help.
