Title: Enkei RP03's - Fitment Question.

I am looking into buying some silver enkei rp03's (as the title says) for my fc. They are 17x8+40 front and 17x9+40 rear. To be honest, I am torn between silver rp03's and hyper black rota grid (17x8+35 all around, haven't seen 17x9+35 for these). I am going to paint my rx7 blue (prolly an electron blue). I don't really like the way rolled fenders look. SO, I am curious if anyone knows the biggest size tires I could fit these without doing so.  PLUS, I am curious if anyone has any pictures of an fc with these on them or would share their options on how they look.  Any and all options will be appreciated and Thank you.

You will need to run a 10mm spacer in front with RP03s. You are going to be really close to the strut/spring with a +40 offset. You want close to a +30 on the front or a little less with an 8 inch wheel.
235/40/17 tires up front. you can run a 255/40/17 in back if you dont want to touch the fenders. Even a 275/40/17 in back with 5 to 10 mm spacer. I would roll the inner fender a bit no matter what you do.

Just out of curiosity what do you mean when you say you don't like the look of rolled fenders?  If done properly a rolled fender shouldn't be noticeable unless you look up into the wheel arch.  All you do is roll the lip flat up into the fender to gain clearance, the outside lines of the car aren't changed.

Ignore that part of my post. I apologize, I kind of wasn't thinking when I typed that. Rolling the fenders doesn't bother me. It's the look of pulled fenders I do not like, when it does mess with the outside line. I have also recently talked to someone that was explaining rota wheels are not the greatest quality. They refered me to 5Zigen FN01R-C which are extremely similiar in looks to the enkei rp03 but they have the +35 offset I need. Does anyone know the quality of these 2 wheels?

5Zigen are fine wheels.   Rotas don't really have many issues either.   For the most part, cast wheels are cast wheels.

Shoot, I bent a set of 4000 dollar forged wheels on a small pothole.   Don't let the wheel snobs scare you, if it's not on r compounds regularly, you're unlikely to ever hurt anything.   Even if you are, it's still unlikely.

I've bent more lightweight forged bent wheels (SSR, Volk, Weds etc.) than I have bent Rotas. I would not hesitate to run Rotas. They are just as good as 5 zigens, etc.
