This car started out as an auto with a blown motor.  I went with Granny's Kit, Granny's clutch master, Koyo Rad, Supra Pump, refurbed pedals etc.  KDR in PA did the conversion.  Pez did the harness and PoohPoohStar_FC_LS6 supplied the drivetrain.  I went LT1 because I wanted to keep the stock suspension geometry and stock hood.  All gauges and lights work.  The stock (auto) oil cooler was plumbed in.  I'm happy I skipped the PS.  I have an AC kit standing by, we'll see how I feel about that when I am sitting in summer traffic...

Also before I hurt Pez's feelings again, Pez pointed out a while back that I could have kept the stock FD suspension geometry with an LSx if I cut the firewall and moved the engine back a few inches.  That being said I am happy with the way the car came out with the LT1.

After 1 shop, 1 shade tree mechanic, 1 more shop, and 3 starters it looks like my FD is finally on its way to having its electrical issues sorted out.  Current assessment is that there is a short on the signal wire to the starter.  Should be back up and running soon.

The LT1 is officially for sale, if anybody wants it pm me.  I got it from a member on this site.  I am going to keep the T56.  LS2 is in the works but not gonna be rushed.

It would be nice to finally enjoy my car a little bit this season.

Wow after 3 years and a lot of drama, I finally know what you guys have all been talking about.

Gotta have it.

Shaun the LT1/T56 pulls like a beast.  Got a Pro 5.0 shifter which is much better than the POS I had before.  Car is mechanically sorted at this point.

- Rebuilt harness
- Starter relay
- South Bend stage 3 clutch
- New clutch fork
- BC coilovers
- Improved Racing end links
- Depowered rack

Hahaha, I still want to upgrade to LSX at some point soon.  If my LT1 is a beast I can't wait to see what an LS1-2-3 could do.  Plus I am interested in the new Sikky FD kit that's coming out soon.
