DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!
« on: February 04, 2011, 09:17:27 PM »
I came on this website over six months ago.  I checked it out looked through all the threads!! I looked at history of these two individuals and thought I could trust them.  But as of right now I am out $880 for a subframe/tourqe arm/diff frame.  I have heard from them a few times a month telling me "oh I haven't gotten it out of the car, or I will ship it out the begining of the week with extra parts....or just no response what so ever.  I now am going to go to my lawyer and take this matter to the next level.

I trust everyone on here takes heed of these two and doesn't get caught up in any of their lies and misleading promises.

srdub-t - which has a lot of posts, has several others that said they had no problem when buying parts from him. Well I guess you don't know him well enough.

I think these two should be put on the bad business list!!!!!

And trust me they will recieve letters by mail and email with my lawyers info so.  LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!  :punch:

That's unfortunate to hear.

Don't forget we also have a trader system.   If it has gotten to the point where lawyers are going to be involved, I would think negative feedback would be in order.

If you know locations, there may be other forum members willing to stop by and see what is going on in person.

I have the same type of issue with a member on RX7Club.

A guy called :
Jamal ( Jay ) Purches
4414 billings street
Flint
Michigan
48505-5319
Ph:810-280-4428
email # 1 : catahome@aol.com
email # 2 : Rx74unme@webtv.net

This guy has tons of FC parts , I have bought lot of misc parts from him , it takes for ever to get them , at once I had to do a PayPal dispute to get my stuff and finally got it.

Last august I was talking to him and he said he had a nice S4 differential with matching stub axles for $200.00 usd at that time I didn't have the funds and he emailled back a few times and he said for $150.00 I'll sell it to you if you pick up the shipping so I bought it.
After many emails , PayPal dispute time is way over 45 days , I email the guy each week and since Dec. 1st 2010 I call him weekly asking him just to refund my money and be done with it.
He has millions of excuses ( always polite every time we talk ) but still haven't received my money. I offered him to give me $50.00 a week or something but nothing.
I'm pretty sure I have lost $150.00 .

It sucks because I'm a very honest person and never steal anything from any body , I have 100% feedback on ebay ( as a seller or buyer ) over 10 years and same thing on various forums.

I'd never take money from someone if I cannot deliver what we agreed on.  :(

This reminds me of when I bought my first TII diff and axles from the guy in New York.
He was a young kid (20 or so) and was parting out his project. For 2 months I was dealing with him to ship it.
He kept coming up with excuses about how he had to keep making trips to Florida to help his mom out and that he would get to it as soon as he can.
I started the PayPal dispute after a month and a half of BS. It turns out he was using his dads PayPal account. His dad contacted me and asked what was going on. I explained to his dad how we agreed on the sale of the diff and his son was supposed to ship it to me via UPS Freight. I did all the ground work for this to make it easy for him. His dad didn't want this bad hit on his PayPal account so he palatalized the diff and axles and dropped it off at a UPS store and I finally got it.
The dad said his son constantly makes promises he can't keep and then just walks away from the responsibility. I told the dad he might want to give his son a pop upside the head once in a while.

I thought srdub-t was in the Indiana area?  If that were the case, I'd be on a road trip ASAP.

i found out i needed a engine hoist to support the engine while i removed the subframe.  mdpalmer has mine right now.  i needed to borrow another one.  also, i'll give you the samberg trans mount. its suppose to be the better one of the two. if i find more parts for the FD or swap, i send to you if you need to make it up.

This does bring up a good point with dealing on forums. I have sold/bought a ton of stuff on various forums and it is very easy to get lax on checking history, references, and get FULL contact info. Also, paypal does not have your back as a seller and buyer, always use cc to really cover your ass.  It is really easy to get screwed when selling also so be cautious there too

i wish i was a cool ass MOD  :'(

actually I hated being a mod elsewhere. I am scared shitless about some of the forum sales Ibuy from since I cant inspect the contents and my parents arent the best at looking at something and telling me if it is good to go. case and point I ordered front and rear calipers off of a T2 for my SA and they were completely destroyed when I seen them on leave. I can't use them even with a rebuild so I basicly paid for a core on e rebuilt set. Speaking of which, if I order from say pepboys or autozone the T2 calipers will they still say mazda?
