Just curious if any of the members here play the lotto and if so is there any interest in starting an Norotors pool?

I've only ever bought a few scratch offs, not sure how a pool here would work

One person heads the pool and collects the money via PayPal while keeping  track of everyone in the pool. You are allowed to buy as many shares in the pool as you want. And if we hit the jackpot the money is divided amongst the participants based on how many shares each person bought.

For example.
If each share costs $1
And the jackpot is $100

Person "a" bought  1 share
Person "b" bought 2 shares
Person "c" bought 3 shares
Person "d" bought 4 shares

If we win you take the jackpot divided by the number of shares sold to figure out the value of each share.

In this example each share is worth $10.   So if we hit the jackpot
Person "a" wins $10
"b" wins $20
"c" wins $30
"d" wins $40

Hah, I have done it a few times at work for fun when it's up in the 400-600 million range.   Statistically you have basically 0 chance of actually winning though.    It's a better investment to go put 500 bucks on 00 in roulette every couple of months.  ;)

True ,but still fun to play.   If we can get at least 5 people interested I'll start a pool for the 150 million dollar pot.

If the jackpot doesn't hit tonight I'm gonna try a norotors pool and see it it takes off. (Provided it doesn't break any rules and the admin isn't against it...)
