not much RX8 love on this forum. Oh well. I've owned both and from my experience the 8 is way better to live with. its a great looking car a,be it not as great looking as th 7. However I don't have to deal with all the issues.

I think it's definitely a personal preference, I have friends with RX-8's, and most of us make fun of them saying they drive a girls car. I think it's butt ugly and I think the FD is a timeless design that will still look beautiful for another 15 years or more. I see the RX-8 looking like a futuristic tiny toy. I also have to disagree on the statement it will run faster than a swapped RX-7. In a STRAIGHT LINE that might be true, but the RX-7 is such a visceral ultimate driving experience on a real track. I hate the way my friends RX-8 handles at Auto-X but I  haven't driven it at a real track. Plus, on a side note, most of us have been able to get our FD's below 3k lbs. as well and that makes it hard for me to believe that an RX-8 would beat the FD. Surely wouldn't beat mine that's for sure. That's probably because I have an LS3 though.
I believe your price is close to reasonable, especially since this swap hasn't been successfully completed on a mass scale yet so I'm sure there was some headaches you had to tackle. Somehow I remembered the price being lower when it was first posted maybe? Anyhow, I hope you find a buyer man!

Yes the car was posted lower before. it was a very near stock 100k mile driveline. Now everything has been rebuilt and modded. As for the better statement. That can be beat to death. I built a car to be driven everyday. ive owned an FD and for it intended purpose the RX8 is far better than the FD. Does that mean it's faster than most of the cars on here. Who knows? Its a much more comfortable, user friendly and all around better platform to complete the mission. The looks of the FD are great. No question about that. But the RX8 isn't ugly by any measure.

True, the RX-8 is 110% better for daily driver and like you stated speed is kinda relative. Especially when talking about cars such as these. Moot point. Either way, the car looks clean and I hope you find a buyer. I don't prefer its aesthetics, but that's my opinion. Nice ride, good luck with your sale Sir!

Appreciate it. I do miss my FD but with all the electrical gremlins and almost passing out at the thought of even a fender bender is something I dont miss. Hell the swelling in my vertebrae hasn't gone down in the three years since i sold it. I do miss staring at it when I ate breakfast though.

Phone just makes it sound noisy. It has a borla. Not quiet but not as noisy as the cell phone video makes it seem.

any numbers, dyno, weight on car, track time?
Faster than whatever a swapped RX-7 runs. Just not as pretty...
Super clean car!  Love the engine bay!  Best of luck with the sale.

Although, i'm positive it's not faster than whatever a swapped 7 runs.  ;)

Low 400s is a pretty reasonable estimate. Havent made a pass and likely wont. There isnt a track very close to me. I weighed it a couple days ago and it came in just under 2900 lbs. 15K would have gotten it back when it was stock

How did you shave the 200lbs from your build thread with the picture of the car on the scale and 3100 lbs?

I am mildly interested in the car.  I want an extreme 7 but realistically this would work better and probably get more use.

Much lighter exhaust and the second time was with a half tank. The first time was with a brimmed tank.

Just found out I'm moving so the first person with $18,500 before July 1st gets it. Otherwise it's going into storage.
